About us
Serving Ventura County since 1969
Franklin & Vizzo is a family-owned plumbing and heating contractor working out of 2594 Channel Drive in Ventura. 57 years, one county.
Franklin & Vizzo Plumbing has been serving Ventura County since 1969. James and Matthew Vizzo have owned and operated it since 1980 — the same year the company’s current contractor’s licence was issued.
We work out of a shop on Channel Drive, a few minutes from the Ventura Harbor, and cover the county from there. The work splits fairly evenly between houses and commercial buildings, and between the small jobs — a running toilet, a failed disposal — and the large ones: repipes, sewer replacements, new construction.
Staying in one county for 57 years teaches you things that do not transfer. You learn which decades of local housing were plumbed in galvanised steel and are now due. You learn what the hard water here does to a water heater, and why a tankless unit needs a softener alongside it. You learn what the original clay sewer laterals look like on a camera after fifty years in the ground.
We hold both a C-36 plumbing licence and a C-20 warm-air heating licence, which is why the sign has always read plumbing and heating. We service all makes and models, and specialise in Bradford White, MacClean, Noritz and Rinnai.
We also offer senior citizen discounts — worth asking about when you call.

How we work
What you can expect
A family business, still
James and Matthew Vizzo have owned and run Franklin & Vizzo since 1980. It is not a franchise, and it has not been sold on to a holding company — it is the same family, at the same address.
A written estimate first
You get a written estimate before the work begins. Our plumbers also keep a neat, clean work area and put it back the way they found it.
Radio-dispatched trucks
Our trucks are radio dispatched across the county, which is how we get to the urgent jobs without a chain of phone tag.
Someone on call, always
24/7 emergency service available. After hours, call the same number and follow the prompt to reach the on-call plumber.

What customers say
Reviews are on the public platforms
We do not host our own testimonials — there is no way for you to check those. These are the profiles where customers have left reviews, with the ratings as they stood in July 2026.
Ratings move around. If these numbers are out of date, the linked profile is the accurate one.
