Pipes & Leaks
Copper Repiping
When a building's supply pipes reach the end of their life, patching individual leaks stops making sense — you fix one and another appears somewhere else. Repiping replaces the distribution system so you are not chasing failures indefinitely.
"Repipe Specialists" is the first line painted on our service trucks. It is work we have been doing across Ventura County for decades.
Why galvanised pipe fails
Galvanised steel corrodes internally. The bore narrows with rust over decades, which is what causes the slow decline in pressure, and eventually the pipe wall perforates. Because the whole system ages together, one failure usually means others are close behind.
Planning the route
A good repipe is planned to minimise the openings needed. The route is worked out first, so access is cut where it is easiest to make good rather than wherever the old pipe happened to run.
Living in the house during the work
Most repipes are done with the household still in place. We plan the sequence so water is off for as short a period as possible, and we tell you in advance when that will be.
Permits and inspection
Repiping is permitted, inspected work. Having it documented properly matters when you come to sell.
