Leak Detection

A hidden leak wastes water continuously and quietly damages whatever it is soaking. The expensive part is rarely the repair — it is opening up the wrong section of floor or wall looking for it.

Locating the leak accurately first is what keeps the repair small.

Confirming there is a leak at all

The meter test comes first. With every fixture off, any movement at the meter means water is going somewhere it should not. That also separates a supply-side leak from a running toilet, which is a much simpler fix and worth ruling out early.

Narrowing it down

Isolating sections of the system establishes which part is losing water — supply, irrigation, or the line to a specific area — before anything is opened up.

Pinpointing before cutting

The goal is to mark the leak's position as tightly as possible so the repair opening is small and in the right place. Exploratory demolition is the outcome we are trying to avoid.
